Dr. H. Colleen Sinclair
Dr. H. Colleen Sinclair is an Associate Professor with a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Minnesota (with three minors including: Law, Interpersonal Relationships, and Quantitative Methods). Her research focuses on social relations, including close relationships and intergroup relations but she has been known to dabble in pretty much all things social psychology. She is the co-director of the Social Relations Collaborative at the Social Science Research Center. You can keep up with the latest in Social Relations research on the lab Facebook page and Dr. Sinclair regularly posts about all things in the news relevant to social psychology on Twitter. She loves to discuss research and feels that knowledge should be shared with all. She has been at Mississippi State University since 2005 and has been teaching the Graduate Seminar in Social Psychology since 2007.
Other than her love of research, Dr. Sinclair enjoys spending time with her awesome family (see right--->), writing, drawing, taking pictures, traveling, reading, shopping, gaming, and...well, a lot of things. She has been known to hang-glide, skydive, white-water raft, etc. Basically, she can't stand doing nothing (outside of when ill, she spent one day of her life wearing pajamas all day and doing very little and it drove her insane) so she always manages to come up with something.
Oh, and consider yourself warned: Dr. Sinclair comes from a long line of sarcastic smart-alecks, but if a Sinclair teases you it means we like you. Better a smartass than a dumbass for a teacher, though, right?
